Sending your kids to camp over the Spring Break recess isn't a new concept. L.A. families have being doing it for years. Not only does gong to spring camp give your child something to do while school's out and you might be working, spring camp gives kid the opportunity to make new friends, participate in lots of fun activities, and "test drive" some of the camps and programs you might be considering on a longer-term basis for your kids this summer. Here are some Los Angeles spring break camps available to you this year. Got Game CampGot Game Camp's spring break program takes place at Hancock Park Elementary School located at 408 S. Fairfax Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90036. The camp takes place from March 26 to March 30. According to its website, this program claims to have been voted among the Top 10 camps in Los Angeles. Science, robotics, arts and crafts, and water play are all part of the fun. Kids Space Museum L.A. Spring Break CampsThis looks like a pretty fun camp for kids ages 5 to 9. We also like the fact this program takes place for two weeks instead of just one since many schools operate on different spring break schedules. The weeks the camp operates are March 19 through March 23 and March 26 to March 30. For art, science and nature loving kids, this could be the ideal spring camp for you! Learn to Surf L.A. Camp Sharwell at Zimmer Children's MuseumMusic, movement, arts and crafts and lots of games and playtime are the hallmarks of this Los Angeles area spring camp for kids. We know this is a quality program because we've spoken to several families who've attended it and given high marks. This program is for kids 3 to 8, with the one requirement being campers must be potty-trained. The camp runs March 26-30 and April 2 through 5th. The camp boasts a staff to camper supervision ratio of 1 to 6. Funky Divas and Dudes Spring CampThis performing arts rock star camp is where it's at! Code Rev Kids Spring CampsReferred to by CBS as one of the "best unique day camps in L.A.," this spring camp operates March 26 through April 20. That's quite a long period of time compared to other programs, so even if your child decides to attend another L.A. spring camp, or you have siblings on different spring break schedules, all of them will be able to enjoy this camp, too.
