The 2026 Los Angeles Camp Fair season has officially come to a close. What an incredible year it was.

Families from across Los Angeles came out in huge numbers to meet camp directors, explore programs, and plan an unforgettable summer for their kids. From beach camps and sports camps to STEM, arts, and sleepaway experiences, this year’s fairs once again proved that nothing replaces seeing camps in person and having real conversations.

If you missed a fair this year, don't worry. Camp fairs typically run from February through March, and we'll be back with a full schedule of 2027 dates and locations before you know it.

Camp Fair at UCLA (this Sunday, Marach 8 from 12:00–3:00 PM at Pauley Pavilion) should know that the LA Marathon is taking place the same morning, which may affect traffic in parts of Los Angeles.

The good news: UCLA and Westwood remain accessible, especially if you approach from the west side or the 405 freeway.

Recommended Routes

​To avoid marathon road closures, we recommend approaching UCLA using:

• 405 Freeway → Wilshire Blvd → Westwood Blvd → UCLA
• 405 Freeway → Sunset Blvd → Westwood Plaza → UCLA
• 405 Freeway → Sunset Blvd → Hilgard Ave → UCLA

These routes typically avoid the marathon course and will bring you directly to campus.

Parking

Parking is available in UCLA Parking Lot 7, which is just a short walk to Pauley Pavilion where the Camp Fair takes place.

Helpful Tip

If possible, plan to approach UCLA from the west side of Los Angeles (Santa Monica / Brentwood / 405 corridor) rather than traveling from the east side of the city where most marathon closures occur.

Los Angeles will be buzzing this Sunday with the LA Marathon, which means temporary road closures in parts of the city. The good news: families heading to the L.A. Camp Fair at UCLA (Noon–3 PM) can still get there easily with a few simple route choices.

Quick tip: Approaching UCLA from the north (Sunset Blvd) or from the 405 is usually the easiest plan. Try to avoid routes that rely on Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica Blvd, or the Century City finish area.

What to expect

Most marathon impacts are concentrated along the race route and near the finish area in Century City. UCLA sits north of many of the most affected streets, so the main issue for most families is extra traffic and occasional confusion, not a complete inability to reach campus.

Best routes to UCLA (Pauley Pavilion)

  • From the Valley (Encino/Sherman Oaks) or anywhere on the 405: Take the 405 to Sunset Blvd, then follow Sunset toward UCLA and enter via Westwood Plaza.
  • From Brentwood / Pacific Palisades: Take Sunset Blvd east and enter UCLA via Westwood Plaza.
  • From Beverly Hills / Hollywood: Avoid Wilshire and use Beverly Glen Blvd to reach Sunset Blvd, then enter campus from Sunset/Westwood Plaza.

Routes to avoid

  • Santa Monica Blvd (especially near Century City)
  • Driving through Century City during peak finish-line activity

We've just gotten word a new camp fair will be added in Thousand Oaks. The camp fair is called the Conejo Valley Camp Fair and will take place Sunday, April 14 at the Lakeside Pavilion in Conejo Creek North Park from noon to 3pm. You can explore over 50 summer camps, meet their  camp counselors and representatives, learn about their programs and find the best camp fit for your kids for summer 2024.
