Apart from the opportunity to meet friendly camp representatives from all kinds of local summer day and overnight camps at the UCLA Camp Fair in Los Angeles, you'll also discover a number of amazing programs from  further away, too.

When we say "further away," we really mean it! We're talking camps from out of state and even other countries including Hawaii, Maine, Illinois, and Montreal, Canada!

So if you're looking for an overnight camp for your kids this summer, attending the UCLA Camp Fair is an opportunity you can't afford to miss.

Introducing from MWS Student Camps from Montreal, Canada

As mentioned above, you'll meet camp directors from many local programs and others from out of state (and the country) at the L.A. Camp Fair at UCLA. We'll share more info about all of these wonderful programs with you as the Camp Fair draws closer.  Today we wanted to let you know about MWS Student Camps from Montreal, Canada, who is exhibiting its at the upcoming L.A. Camp Fair.

MSW Student Camps offers French Immersion Language Camps for Canadian and international students. The program is located at McGill University. Residential and day camp options are available for kids ages 7 to 10), "tweens" and early teens from 11 to 13 years, and teenagers age 14 to 17.

Programs include language study, age specific excursions (daily) and camp activities. Full day trips to Quebec City and Ottawa are available too.

The Summer of a Lifetime Awaits Your Child at MWS Student Camps this Year!

The local L.A. summer camps you'll find at the UCLA Camp Fair will certainly be enough to offer your child an incredibly fun camp experience this summer. But just imagine how excited they'll be traveling to another country for camp!  Some of us here at L.A. Summer Camps.com have camp-age kids of our own, and we are definitely considering this program for them because it seems like the experience a lifetime where they would make many happy memories for sure.

So when you come to the Camp Fair, be sure to stop by the MSW Student Camps booth to introduce yourself and learn more about the program. Vanessa Quellos, the camp director, is looking forward to meeting you!

Meet Camp Representatives from Army and Navy Academy Summer Programs and From Many Other Camps at Programs at the Upcoming L.A. Camp Fair

Picture
Most parents are 100% certain they want to send their kids to summer camp, but in many cases they aren't sure exactly which program to choose.  That's where the 2019 L.A. Camp Fair on Saturday, March 9 at UCLA is for.

Attending the March 9 UCLA Camp Fair is the easiest way for you to find the best camp for your child this year. Rather than searching website after website finding and compare various camps that may or may not interest you, instead you can come to the L.A. Camp Fair and meet representatives from over 60 local and out-of-state camps and learn about their programs, all under one roof.

About Army and Navy Academy Summer Programs

There will be a wide variety of camps for your consideration at the L.A. Camp Fair. One such program you might be interested in is Army and Navy Academy (ANA) Summer Programs.

Army and Navy Summer Programs offers your youngster a co-ed motivational summer leadership, adventure, and recreation camp experience that encourages active involvement, accountability, skill development, and personal growth.

Overseen by dedicated staff focused on mentoring campers in a supportive environment, ANA classes and activities concentrate on developing good character, leadership skills, and responsibility while enhancing confidence in all campers.

ANA Summer Programs provide pathways and opportunities for all summer campers to:
• Acquire honor and pride in themselves and their community
• Build positive self-esteem through goal accomplishment
• Develop self-discipline, leadership, and respect for others
• Strive for realization of individual potential
• So Much More

If you are interested in the Army and Navy Academy Summer Camp Program, be sure to stop by their booth at the Camp Fair and speak with either Michael Basista or David Johnson, who will be staffing the ANA Camp Fair booth.

But even if this program doesn't suit your fancy, don't worry! There will be many other programs and camps to see and consider at the Camp Fair!

Free Tickets to the L.A. Camp Fair

We're expecting lots of kids and families at the upcoming Camp Fairs. We hope you'll join us, too, but we only have room for a limited number of guests because the Camp Fair venue (Pauley Pavilion at UCLA) is capacity-controlled.

That means you'll need tickets to get in, but remember, the tickets are free and just one single ticket will admit your whole family to the Camp Fair. If you're interested in finding a great camp for your kids this summer, don't miss the L.A. Camp Fair at UCLA and grab your free tickets today.

Just a quick update on the 2019 L.A. summer camp fairs. We anticipate knowing the firm dates and locations for all these events by October at the latest.

Last year the folks at L.A. Camp Fair organized three amazing camp fair events at UCLA, in Calabasas, and in Thousand Oaks, respectively. We understand they will be doing the same thing again (and perhaps adding one or two additional events) in late winter/early spring of 2019.

To stay apprised of the latest L.A. Camp Fair announcements and developments, keep reading this blog and follow us on twitter.  We'll announce the new information as soon as we get it!

The UCLA Camp Fair's Behind Us. Next Up, Conejo Valley and Calabasas Camp Fairs Next Month!

The most gratifying part of our job is when we're able to provide information families can use to find amazing summer programs for their kids.

This past weekend we held a summer camp expo at UCLA where over 1,000 people showed up to meet camp representatives from over 60 day camps and sleepaway camps to find their right camp for their children.

By all accounts it was successful in every way.  Here's a quote from Ken F., a Los Angeles resident who attended last Sunday's UCLA Camp Fair with his family:
"The L.A. Camp Fair at UCLA was a win-win for our family.  My wife, son-in-law and most important 11 yr old grandson came away with plenty of insight into the vast world of camping.  From robots to fencing to sports, to stand-up comedy, to language immersion, to water, land and plenty more activities we have so many options to review.  Thanks to you and your staff the show was well organized and upbeat from the moment we were greeted at the door to the reps behind the camp tables.  The enthusiasm of adults and kids was palpable throughout the venue.  Congrats on a superb effort."
Please note, we're not showing you Ken's description of the UCLA camp fair to pat ourselves on the back. Far from it, and quite the opposite in fact.

Instead we wanted you to see how valuable attending a Camp Fair can be as a resource to help you find a great camp, and more specifically, so you mark your calendars for our next two upcoming Camp Fair events in Thousand Oaks on April 14 and Calabasas April 22, respectively.

We had a GREAT time at last Sunday's L.A. Camp Fair at UCLA!

Camp Quest West is a sleep-away summer camp for curious minds: fun, exploration, science, critical thinking and Humanist values. Learn and grow in a tolerant environment of support, inclusion, and diversity where participants openly discuss what it means to be a skeptic, a scientist, a philosopher, a feminist, a leader, a freethinker, and a Humanist.
You can meet representatives from Camp Quest West and many other overnight summer camps at the upcoming L.A. Camp Fair events on March 11 at UCLA, April 14 in Thousand Oaks and April 22 in Calabasas.

Attending L.A. Camp Fair the free and smart, fast and easy way to find your child's perfect summer program for 2018 because it removes the overwhelming and time-consuming process of spending time visiting hundred's of camp websites, making phone call after call, and sending and receiving countless emails to and from camp directors and then sorting through everything just to find some that interest you.

Instead, at the Camp Fair, you can meet and interact with camp representatives from many of the best summer camps in Los Angeles in person.  You can get a much better impression and personal feel for the programs and people you're entrusting your child to this summer when you meet them face to face versus emailing them back and forth!

The L.A. Camp Fair is like a "one-stop-shop" for finding the best camp because instead of spending time tracking down all the camps individually for information, all the camps come to you!

Meet Representatives from Outdoor Journeys - Camp Nawakwa at the L.A. Camp Fair

Beautiful Day Camp and Resident Camp in the San Bernadino Mountains

Some of the camps attending the upcoming L.A. Camp Fair are day camps.

Some are sleepaway camps.

And some, like Camp Nawakwa, are both!

Camp Nawakwa is located in the beautiful Barton Flats Area of the San Bernardino Mountains.

Nawakwa sits at an elevation of 6850’ at the northern foot of the San Gorgonio Wilderness. Being accredited by the American Camp Association assures Camp Nawakwa attendees that they will receive the highest standards and outstanding service. Majestic Ponderosa, Jeffrey Pine and Black Oak trees shade the camp and the surrounding hiking trails.
Camper climbing the climbing wall at Camp Nawakwa
Their beautiful and private 14-acre site is in the middle of the National Forest, therefore, it offers much more than just what is contained within its boundaries.

Camp Nawakwa is ideal for large groups. There are many buildings that can serve as sleeping cabins; the main lodge/dining hall can be used as a roomy in-door meeting area; and there are many quiet outdoor spots to work in or to just enjoy.

The camp has the capacity to house 210 participants year round. Outside of the summer months groups are welcome to rent out the entire facility and perform their own catering or save all the hassles and worries, by leaving the cooking to the camp staff.

If  you are looking for a summer day camp, overnight camp or both, consider Camp Nawakwa! Representatives from their program will be available to meet you and answer all your questions at the L.A. Camp Fair at UCLA on Sunday, March 11. Come by and say hello!

How to Get Your Free Tickets to the L.A. Conejo Valley Camp Fair

1/20/2018

Each day hundreds of parents visit our website looking for the perfect Los Angeles summer camp for their kids. We appreciate being considered a valuable resource for families in that regard.

From time to time we get phone calls, asking for tips on picking the right summer program or requesting referrals to some. We always enjoy speaking with parents about the value and benefits of the camp experience and helping them find the right program for their kids.

How We Helped Three Conejo Valley Families Find a Summer Camp

Just yesterday three different parents from Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village and Oak Park emailed us inquiring about local summer camp opportunities.  These families had kids ranging in age from three to fifteen, and their all questions were pretty much the same:  Where could they find some really good summer camps in the Conejo Valley?

That's an easy question to answer!  Come to the L.A. Conejo Valley Camp Fair and meet staff from over 50 programs all in one place.

What's the Conejo Valley Camp Fair?

In a nutshell, the Conejo Valley Camp Fair is the biggest and best summer camp expo for kids and families in the Conejo Valley area.

Presented by L.A. Camp Fair 2018, the Conejo Valley Camp Fair takes place Saturday, April 14 at Conejo Creek North Park in Thousand Oaks. The Conejo Valley Camp Fair is a totally free summer camp expo where over 50 camps and programs will all come together "under one roof" to showcase their programs and activities for summer 2018.

There will be day camps, overnight camps, sports camps, acting camps, music camps, gymnastics camps, Jewish camps, science camps -- you name it!  All kinds of camps and programs will be there, and many will be doing live demonstrations and sample activities at their booths so your child can experience the exact same activities they'll be doing at camp this summer.

You'll also be to get brochures and other promotional materials from all the camps, participate in raffles and drawings to win free camp sessions from many of the programs, enjoy great food and have an all- around fun day at this free event.

Attending the Conejo Valley Camp is by far the easiest, most convenient, and efficient way to find the perfect summer program for your child because it provides the opportunity for you to meet so many camp directors from various programs at the same time. Isn't that a whole lot better than contacting each camp individually for information? Of course it is!  : )

Which Camps are Attending the Conejo Valley Camp Fair?

It's important to note that while the Conejo Valley Camp Fair will feature many local camps and programs, you'll also meet many camp counselors, directors and staff members from out-of town-camps, too.
That means if you're looking for a camp close by, you can  be sure to find one at the Conejo Valley Camp Fair as dozens of Agoura, Westlake Village, Malibu, Oak Park, Camarillo, Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and other locally based programs are attending.

But just in case you're considering sending your child to camp a little further away -- maybe to a sleepaway camp on Catalina Island, a Science Camp in Hawaii, or a girls-only sleepaway camp in New Hampshire sound like exciting prospects -- you'll discover these and many other amazing out-of-town programs on display at the Camp Fair, too.
