How Does the Camp Fair Work?
The Camp Fair will take place inside the gym at the Redwood Hall Activity Center at CSUN. Here's how to day will work.
You can park next to the gym and walk right in. Our camp fair concierges will greet you at the Welcome Table and give you a program directory of all the exhibiting camps. You'll get a free goodie bag to keep all the brochures you'll pick up from all the camp booths. The goodie bag will be loaded with various informational resources from the camps, games and prizes for the kids, and free raffle tickets to win free camp sessions and other prizes from participating camps.
Once you have your goodie bag, the real fun begins. Visit the various booths staffed by the different camps and meet and speak with the camp directors and representatives. Ask all the questions you want to learn more about their programs. Get to know them face-to-face! The impressions you get speaking with all the camp people will help you decide if a given program is right for you. If you "click" with a camp off the bat, great! If not, move on to the next camp. Easy! |
Should Kids Come Too?
100% yes! The Camp Fair is as much for kids as it is for parents. Most of the camps will have games, activities and free giveaways at their booths for the kids. Attending the Camp Fair is a great opportunity for your potential camper to see what kinds of camps they may want to attend this summer!

What About COVID-19?
Protecting your health and safety is our first priority. While last year's CSUN Camp Fair was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are working closely with state and local health officials to present a 2022 Camp Fair event 2022 to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and keep you healthy and safe. A a myriad of safety protocols will be in place including hand sanitizing stations, frequent disinfecting of camp fair booths and venue, mask-wearing protocols, social distancing and attendee capacity restrictions, and vaccination requirements. Additionally, we also have ample outdoor space should we need to move the Camp Fair outside. For those who'd feel more comfortable, we have a Virtual Camp Fair website where we bring the Camp Fair to you! The virtual camp fair is the next best thing to a live camp fair you'll find, but we also hope to see you at the real live in-person L.A. Camp Fair event at Cal State Northridge this Spring!
