Maybe a traditional day camp program would be the perfect summer fit. Many times when you think of a summer program for kids, you imagine a horseback riding ring, swimming pool, archery range, and large grass playing field and hills for hiking. That traditional image of camp is still available, even here in a big sprawling city like Los Angeles.
When we think of traditional programs, Tumbleweed Day Camp in Brentwood, Camp Kinneret in Agoura Hills, Cali Camp in Topanga Canyon and Camp Keystone, also in Agoura, come to mind. All of these programs are spread out across Los Angeles so at least one should be located near you. (But even if they're not, they each offer transportation for campers living further away so campers can experience these great camps no matter your location this summer. )
