What are the Camp Fair dates?


  • The Calabasas camp fair takes place on a Saturday, March 11, March 2023 at AC Stelle Middle School.
  • ​The LA Camp Fair at UCLA takes will take place on Sunday, March 12, 2023 in Pauley Pavilion at UCLA

What time does the Camp Fair start and end?

Both Camp Fairs (Calabasas and UCLA) run from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Activities are ongoing, so you can show up any time. 

How Do Camps Sign Up as Exhibitors?

If you operate a summer camp, school or program in Los Angeles -- or you're just interested in getting more campers from the Los Angeles area -- we invite you to join us as a camp exhibitor at the L.A. Camp Fair. Due to the popularity of the Camp Fairs among family attendees and to comply with post-COVID health and safety guidelines, we only have room for a limited number of camps.  We anticipate selling out sooner rather than later, so reserve your booth today.  Exhibitor registration information.

How much does the Camp Fair Cost?

Attending the L.A. Camp Fair events is absolutely free! But even though it's free, you'll need to RSVP by reserving free tickets in advance. We require families to reserve advance tickets so we can share the expected turnout numbers with the participating camps. The camps, in turn, use this information to ensure they staff their booths with enough people to meet and speak with you at the Camp Fair, and also so they know how many videos, brochures, and other free giveaways and promotional items to bring for everyone who attends the Camp Fair.

Can kids attend L.A Camp Fair?

Yes! In fact, we think it would be a disservice to your kids -- if not a mistake -- not to bring your kids to the Camp Fairs! The Camp Fairs are designed for the whole family in mind, especially your kids, who can  enjoy games, sample camp activities, free food, and meet the camp counselors from all the various camps.
 In addition, it's been proven kids enjoy camp much more when they're involved in the decision-making process versus when parents unilaterally make camp choices for their kids.

When kids play a part in choosing a camp, they will likely have greater happiness and success and their selected camp program. So  yes, please -- bring your kids to the Camp Fair!

Can we sign-up for camp at the Camp Fair?

While Camp Fairs are principally informational events where you have the opportunity to "meet and greet " camp representatives in person and learn about their programs. There is absolutely no requirement or expectation for you to sign up for a given program while attending the event. However, many camps may indeed offer the opportunity to sign up for camp at their Camp Fair booths. Some might even offer special discounts or other incentives for doing so.  Accordingly, if you come across a camp or program you love, don't be afraid to ask the camp director or representatives staffing the booth if they're offering any incentives for signing up on the day of the Camp Fair.

What About COVID-19?

Measures are in place for a safe and healthy camp fair experience for all.  These include frequent cleaning of facility venues, social distancing practices, mandatory mask and vaccination protocols, hand sanitizing stations, and more.  We will post a link to all the health and safety requirements here shortly.  Meanwhile, we encourage you to download your free tickets to the Camp Fairs today, because one thing we do know is there will be high demand for attendance, yet firm capacity restrictions in place which will reduce the number of people who are able to attend the Camp Fair. There's nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of a traditional camp fair where you can meet 100's of summer camp directors live in person, face-to-face. But there's a lot to be said for the convenience of searching for camps online, too. If your preference is to find your ideal program online rather than attend a potentially crowded in-person event, our Virtual Camp Fair is for you. The Virtual Camp Fair takes place for 2 hours the evening of Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 7pm to 9pm.  Many camps exhibiting at the in-person events are showcasing their programs at the online Camp Fair, too.  Even though the Virtual Camp Fair takes place online, it's a real camp fair to help you find the best IN-PERSON camps for your kids this summer.  Meet, greet and chat live with all the camp directors, learn about their programs, watch videos, pick-up free brochures and more, all from the comfort of your own couch.
