About Ecole Du Soliel Summer Camp

L’Ecole du Soleil offers a bustling daily schedule and a watchful counseling staff.

Ecole du Soleil is open to preschoolers through to 5th graders. La Petite Ecole du Soleil is for preschoolers and entering pre-kindergartners. La Grande Ecole is for kindergartners – 5th graders.

Our objective is to introduce children to the French language and culture at an early age while they still have a linguistic openness to easily learn a second language. Their adaptability, their lack of inhibition, and, above all, their ability to reproduce any sound accurately will help them learn a second language with great ease. We provide a unique learning context in which your children will learn at their own pace in a fun, genuine, French summer camp environment.

French classes are taught by a group of highly experienced teachers accredited by the French ministry of education. Previous exposure to French is not required.

Ecole du Soleil is an extension program of the International School of Los Angeles (LILA).

Programs and Activities

6 Weeks of French, Fun and Field Trips!

La Petite Ecole du Soleil is for campers in preschool (born in 2017) & pre-kindergarten (born in 2016).

Open to 2 to 4-year-olds (born in 2017 & 2016) who will be attending preschool and pre-kindergarten in 2020-2021. Campers must be potty trained and have prior experience in a day care environment. The goal of Petite Ecole du Soleil is to introduce the French language through day-to-day activities: greetings, colors, fruits, and days of the week, to name a few. Mornings will focus on the acquisition of the French language. The afternoons will consist of various fun activities including games, arts, crafts, sports, singing, and reading. The program will also help young campers gain social skills. This program also focuses on social-emotional learning and helps children gain social skills through everyday interactions. Each week children will be introduced to a new theme. The French teacher will plan sessions and activities accordingly and let children explore & learn about the theme throughout the week.

Dates, Rates and Registration Details

Dates: June 15 - July 24
Hours: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm (free optional daycare starts at 7:30 am and ends at 5:30 pm)
*Camp Tuition:

• $375 for a full week (Early Bird Discount $350 when signing up before May 1)
  
• $260 part-time (Any 3 days per week) (Early Bird $235 when signing up before May 1)
