Fitness by the Sea
Fitness by the Sea Beach Camp, has been serving West Hollywood families for more than 21 years at their Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades beachside locations for children ages 4-14. Your child can spend the day at the beach learning how to surf, play soccer, swim, dance, martial arts, crafts and so much more (over 200 activities) in a safe, fun-filled, and encouraging environment. This unique camp lets kids choose activities when they want—no set schedules—allowing them to try something new and build leadership skills, self-reliance, and self-confidence. They also offer day-by-day scheduling and families are not bound to a Monday-to-Friday camp week. Try a day, and if your kid loves it (and we think they will), add more days. Plus, their bus transportation service in Hancock Park, Cheviot Hills, and Westwood provides even more convenience. Don’t let another summer pass by without providing this wonderful opportunity for your kids! Sign up today.
Got Game Camp
Got game bills itself as "the premier Los Angeles summer camp destination for kids ages 4-14." We certainly agree it's at least one of the best! Campers who prefer a free-choice camp activity experience will enjoy this camp since it allows kids to design their own activity schedules. When campers have autonomy to customize their own camp schedules, you KNOW they're gonna have a great time! From field trips to sports and robotics to drama, Got Game Camp is a summer program that appeals to everyone. You can reach them at 408 S Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles CA 90036 or (310) 975-8524. As we always say, many popular summer camps in the L.A. area fill up quickly, and Got Game Camp's no different. We hear they have a waiting list each year, so sign up for camp as soon as possible to make sure they have space for your child this summer.
Habonim Dror-Camp Gilboa
Our second Jewish camp on the West Hollywood summer camps list, Camp Gilboa is located in Big Bear Lake with offices in Los Angeles. Campers enjoy lake activities plus hiking, tetherball, gaga, sports and games, and many more safe and fun activities you'd expect from a top notch Jewish summer program. They even have a swimming pool where campers can take a refreshing dip to cool off when the summer weather gets hot. Campers ages 7 to 18 are invited to enjoy this progressive overnight summer camp program to make lifelong memories they'll never forget. This camp is the real deal, so register now to get your first choice of dates.
Warner Star Summer Camps
Part of the STAR Education Program system, Star offers summer programming for West Hollywood kids and other campers in and around Los Angeles with fun and exciting day camps generally located at school-based sites. A wide range of camp activities are available from basketball to chess to slumber parties and more. This is a co-ed program, with boys and girls welcome to attend. Extended care is available, and pricing is extremely affordable too -- a welcome relief for many families compared to the relatively higher prices you'll pay for other programs!
Stellar Dance Studio
Serious dancers -- or at least kids who take dance seriously! -- should include Stellar Dance Studio as part of their summer camp plans. Through weekly dance intensives, campers will learn the proper techniques of all kinds of dance so they can achieve their full potential. Campers are divided by age and taught by patient, knowledgeable and experienced dance camp instructors. Camp operates from 9:00am to 3:00pm with extended care services available. The camp also offers a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program, where participants enjoy a discount of 50% discount off regular camp rates. Attending a summer dance camp is a great way to fine-tune and reinforce the various dance moves and techniques your camper has learned throughout the school year. Tumbling, musical theatre, tricks and stunts, gymnastics, acrobatics and break dancing are just a handful of the types of dance activities and instruction available to campers at this program.
Steve & Kate's Camp at Temple Emanuel
Steve and Kate's Camp is a large program with several of locations across and dozens in California alone. Despite its large size, they do a fantastic job of making sure each location has a small "mom and pop" feel where every camper gets maximum individualized and personal attention from the counselors. This approach helps ensure a camp environment where every child can thrive and reach their personal best. At Steve and Kate's Camp, children are encouraged to be wild, creative, goofy, sing songs, play games and have fun, but always within the framework of making friends and mutual respect. This is a camp that tailors its programs to each individual child -- a trait we admire in an age where many camps structure their programs firmly into a "one size fits all cookie cutter format." Instead, Steve and Kate's designs its camp around your child's interests. There's a bunch of perks for parents too - lunch and snacks are included and you never have to register in advance...drop ins are welcome, a big help if something unplanned comes up and you need childcare coverage for the day, or just in case your child gets the urge to go to camp out of the blue...Steve and Kate's Camp will be waiting for you!
