As the name implies, Malibu Makos is located right on the beach on world famous Zuma Beach, Malibu. Campers ages 5 to 17 enjoy a top-rated surf camp experience taught by experienced watermen and waterwomen who have your child's safety in mind. Campers learn about ocean knowledge, wave judgement and selection, and how to navigate the waves and water with the help of their counselors and instructors. Campers even get to choose their own wetsuits each morning, a very exciting part of their day! Malibu Makos has been operating since since 1991 and consistently viewed among parents, kids and families as one of L.A.'s top surf camps for kids. Perfect Day Surf Camp
There's a number of tremendous Surf Camps in Los Angeles, and Perfect Day Surf Camp is one of the best. A woman (and mom!) owned business by Robbie French, Perfect Day has multiple surf camp locations in Santa Monica , Torrance, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach. This is a very educational surf camp program with surf etiquette, ocean awareness and ocean safety all part of the program. Kids as young as four and teens up to 17 years old are eligible to sign up for Perfect Day Surf Camp. Perfect Day not only offers kids surf camps, but surf parties and events, too.

Summer of Surf
Teaching kids to surf is front and center at Summer of Surf. This camp primarily serves Pasadena, South Pasadena, La Canada, and San Gabriel Valley kids with transportation to and from camp on luxury buses and vehicles to their Santa Monica surf camp location available. The camp counselors ride the buses too, and the group watch movies on back and forth to camp making the bus ride fun. As they do at most surf camps, campers receive an introductory surf lesson on the sand before entering water with their surfboards and instructors. The Summer of Surf camp program operates early June through late August each year.
