Representatives from Canyon Creek will be available to meet you and share and discuss their exciting summer camp opportunity with you at the UCLA Camp Fair location and Calabasas Camp Fair, too.

Sending your kids to camp over the Spring Break recess isn't a new concept. L.A. families have being doing it for years. Not only does gong to spring camp give your child something to do while school's out and you might be working, spring camp gives kid the opportunity to make new friends, participate in lots of fun activities, and "test drive" some of the camps and programs you might be considering on a longer-term basis for your kids this summer. Here are some Los Angeles spring break camps available to you this year.
Got Game Camp's spring break program takes place at Hancock Park Elementary School located at 408 S. Fairfax Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90036. The camp takes place from March 26 to March 30. According to its website, this program claims to have been voted among the Top 10 camps in Los Angeles. Science, robotics, arts and crafts, and water play are all part of the fun.
This looks like a pretty fun camp for kids ages 5 to 9. We also like the fact this program takes place for two weeks instead of just one since many schools operate on different spring break schedules. The weeks the camp operates are March 19 through March 23 and March 26 to March 30. For art, science and nature loving kids, this could be the ideal spring camp for you!
Taking place March 26 through April 6 at local L.A. beaches including Santa Monica, Venice and Manhattan, this camp is for those beach and surf-loving kids who can't get enough of the ocean. Surf camp in the springtime sounds like fun to us!
At $65 a day, the L.A. Zoo offers a fun, educational and affordable spring camp program for children ages pre-K to 4th grade. Extended care is available each day for an addition $5 in the morning and $10 in the afternoon. Campers attending the L.A. Zoo spring camp program will make many new friends and learn about the animals. The camp runs March 26 though March 30. This is an L.A. spring camp that can't be beat!
Music, movement, arts and crafts and lots of games and playtime are the hallmarks of this Los Angeles area spring camp for kids. We know this is a quality program because we've spoken to several families who've attended it and given high marks. This program is for kids 3 to 8, with the one requirement being campers must be potty-trained. The camp runs March 26-30 and April 2 through 5th. The camp boasts a staff to camper supervision ratio of 1 to 6.
This performing arts rock star camp is where it's at! The camp is operating for 2 weeks this spring during the weeks of March 26-30 and April 2-6. From making music videos to dancing to Fairytail and Pop Star theme days, your child won't be able to get enough of this camp!
Referred to by CBS as one of the "best unique day camps in L.A.," this spring camp operates March 26 through April 20. That's quite a long period of time compared to other programs, so even if your child decides to attend another L.A. spring camp, or you have siblings on different spring break schedules, all of them will be able to enjoy this camp, too. The program runs from 9:00am to 4:00 pm and has both daily and weekly pricing. This is a specialty tech camp offering game design, robotics, programming and more.
Operating March 26-30, this camp takes place in the heart of Los Angeles and offers yoga, theater, sports, dance, cooking and so many other fun camp activities. Many of the camp's counselors and campers from the previous summer will be there, so if you're a returning camper, attending this spring camp is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make lots of new ones..
One of the things that bums us out the most is seeing budget cut after budget cut among so many important school programs. One of the subjects that seems to get slashed all the time is music. When we were in school, music was one of everyone's favorite classes. These days it's barely offered anymore.
Thankfully there's many summer camp opportunities in L.A. to fill the void. Here's a list of some of our favorite L.A. Music Summer Camps for kids who are interested in this kind of experience this summer. If you're aware of any L.A. music camps we inadvertently left off the list, please feel free to add them in the comments section.
3. Silverlake Conservatory Music Summer Camp. Located in the heart of L.A. in Hollywood, this program accommodates camp participants of all ages and music skill levels. Voice and songwriting workshops, recitals, and music education for kids are just part of this incredible program. They even offer scholarships for those who qualify. Hint: Sometimes you can get a real good feel about a camp's quality just by viewing its website. If this program's website is any indication, its music summer program is top-notch!
4. Join the Band Summer Music Camp. Now here's a fun-looking camp! This program offers a wide variety of introductory music programs and even a "try an instrument" camp so they can see what appeals to them most. Campers have an opportunity to work together in teams and private music lessons are also available. This camp serves music-loving campers starting as young as 6 years old though 12 and even teens. Rock band camps, signing, and songwriting are part of the fun.
5. Pacific Blue Music Camp. One thing we DON'T like about this program is it only lasts one week! What we LOVE about this camp is they seem to know exactly what they're doing, who they are and who they serve. Their program is geared specifically for middle school kids of all musical talent and experience levels. The camp is based in Santa Monica so it's central and easy to access from everywhere in greater L.A. Campers study the fundamentals and dynamics of music in a fun environment.
The wide impression most families have about the Camp Fair is that its primary purpose is to help parents find the best summer camp fit for their kids this year.
That's completely true -- families looking for a camp are going to find a wide variety of options at the Camp Fair.
But what about college kids and others who might be looking for a great summer job as a camp counselor this year? The Camp Fair is for you, too!
College Students Make Great Camp Counselors!
If there's one thing we've noticed through the years involved in the camp business, it's that college students often make the best camp counselors!
Meet Over 60 Summer Camp Employers on Sunday, March 11 at the UCLA L.A. Summer Camp Fair
On Sunday, March 11 at UCLA there will be a summer camp expo taking place where over 60 camp representatives will be taking to families about their available summer camp options for kids.

Now, just a quick-heads up.
Camp folks are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, But while visiting the various camp booths, please be considerate and cognizant of the fact the camp's main priority for attending the camp fair is to recruit new campers. As long as they have little extra time and aren't talking with parents, they should certainly be happy to speak with you about available job opportunities this summer.
The Camp Fair takes place Sunday, March 11 at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center on the campus of UCLA. The address is 111 Easton Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90024. Admission is free, but you might want to grab a free ticket ahead of time just in case.
See you at the Camp Fair!
Camp Quest West is a sleep-away summer camp for curious minds: fun, exploration, science, critical thinking and Humanist values. Beautiful Day Camp and Resident Camp in the San Bernadino Mountains
Their beautiful and private 14-acre site is in the middle of the National Forest, therefore, it offers much more than just what is contained within its boundaries.
Camp Nawakwa is ideal for large groups. There are many buildings that can serve as sleeping cabins; the main lodge/dining hall can be used as a roomy in-door meeting area; and there are many quiet outdoor spots to work in or to just enjoy.
The camp has the capacity to house 210 participants year round. Outside of the summer months groups are welcome to rent out the entire facility and perform their own catering or save all the hassles and worries, by leaving the cooking to the camp staff.
If you are looking for a summer day camp, overnight camp or both, consider Camp Nawakwa! Representatives from their program will be available to meet you and answer all your questions at the L.A. Camp Fair at UCLA on Sunday, March 11. Come by and say hello!
Each day hundreds of parents visit our website looking for the perfect Los Angeles summer camp for their kids. We appreciate being considered a valuable resource for families in that regard.
From time to time we get phone calls, asking for tips on picking the right summer program or requesting referrals to some. We always enjoy speaking with parents about the value and benefits of the camp experience and helping them find the right program for their kids.
How We Helped Three Conejo Valley Families Find a Summer Camp
Just yesterday three different parents from Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village and Oak Park emailed us inquiring about local summer camp opportunities. These families had kids ranging in age from three to fifteen, and their all questions were pretty much the same: Where could they find some really good summer camps in the Conejo Valley?
That's an easy question to answer! Come to the L.A. Conejo Valley Camp Fair and meet staff from over 50 programs all in one place.
What's the Conejo Valley Camp Fair?
In a nutshell, the Conejo Valley Camp Fair is the biggest and best summer camp expo for kids and families in the Conejo Valley area.
Presented by L.A. Camp Fair 2018, the Conejo Valley Camp Fair takes place Saturday, April 14 at Conejo Creek North Park in Thousand Oaks. The Conejo Valley Camp Fair is a totally free summer camp expo where over 50 camps and programs will all come together "under one roof" to showcase their programs and activities for summer 2018.
There will be day camps, overnight camps, sports camps, acting camps, music camps, gymnastics camps, Jewish camps, science camps -- you name it! All kinds of camps and programs will be there, and many will be doing live demonstrations and sample activities at their booths so your child can experience the exact same activities they'll be doing at camp this summer.
You'll also be to get brochures and other promotional materials from all the camps, participate in raffles and drawings to win free camp sessions from many of the programs, enjoy great food and have an all- around fun day at this free event.
Attending the Conejo Valley Camp is by far the easiest, most convenient, and efficient way to find the perfect summer program for your child because it provides the opportunity for you to meet so many camp directors from various programs at the same time. Isn't that a whole lot better than contacting each camp individually for information? Of course it is! : )
Which Camps are Attending the Conejo Valley Camp Fair?
It's important to note that while the Conejo Valley Camp Fair will feature many local camps and programs, you'll also meet many camp counselors, directors and staff members from out-of town-camps, too.
Here is a current list of all the camps attending the Conejo Valley Camp Fair. This is only a partial list and growing by the day! There will be more camps than this exhibiting at the Camp Fair in Conejo Valley.
Are Children Welcome at the Camp Fair?
Absolutely! This will be a fun, informative, festive event designed for your whole family. Your kids will love meeting all the enthusiastic camp counselors from the participating camps, and we will have many fun activities and great food for them to enjoy too. It will be a family-friendly day all around!
Conejo Valley Camp Fair Location: Creek North Park, Thousand Oaks
The Conejo Valley Camp Fair takes place at the Lakeside Pavillion in Conejo Creek North Park. Admission is entirely free. When you enter the park, follow the access road all the way around until you see the Lakeside Pavilion. There will be people, cars, canopies and fun activities taking place everywhere, just like you'd imagine at a carnival or festival. When you arrive at the Camp Fair, please check in with our friendly Camp Fair staff at the welcome booth to pick up a free directory of all the participating camps and then start making your way around to visit all the booths. You shouldn't have any trouble finding the park, but just in case, we're including a map below for your reference.
Tickets and Parking
Admission to the Conejo Valley Camp Fair is totally free and so is parking with over 200 free parking spaces nearby. But even though admission to the Camp Fair is free, we suggest grabbing free tickets ahead of time because your free ticket automatically enters you into our raffles and drawings to win free merchandise (and even free camp!) from participating camps. When you arrive at the Camp Fair, just show you tickets to any Camp Fair representative on site and they will check you in and hand you your raffle tickets for the drawing.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Conejo Valley Camp Fair! It's going be a great time!
L.A's filled with an amazing variety of summer camp opportunities for kids. The types and programs and activities are endless. While many kids are perfectly happy attending a traditional camp experience where they get to enjoy a diverse set of camp activities such as horseback riding and archery, other kids may have more focused interests. We've highlighted three popular beach-themed summer day camp options in the L.A. area for kids. Click through to their websites for more information, or meet them in person at the upcoming L.A. Summer Camp Fair and Expo in March and April.
Aloha Beach Camp
Established in 1999, Aloha Beach Camp Summer Day Camp is a veritable aquatic playground for kids and teens. This camp bills itself as L.A's most comprehensive aquatic summer camp, and we can see why. The camp takes place at a wide variety of Malibu beaches like Zuma and Paradise Cove, plus day trips to Castaic Lake.
